4 Essential Strategies Of The Top Earners In Network Marketing

After several years slaving away in network marketing I came across the concept of attraction marketing. This set me down a entirely different road really. I'd been working in a traditional mlm business with a top company that had been around for 30 years. Mine wasn't a fly-by-night business opportunity by any means. A lot of people were making a lot of money with them, but I could never really get that working consistently. I decided to turn to the internet for my marketing.

When I came across attraction marketing, I realised I'd been doing things all wrong. I'd been trying to sell my opportunity rather than personally branding myself and my own expertise. And to offer to other people the kind of knowledge I'd spent years accumulating. But even after a few months learning about internet marketing, you can knew more than the people in my existing business who'd been network marketers for many years.

Firstly, your marketing should filter out all the time wasters, the tyre kickers. You only want to be working with people who are professional in their mindset and their actions. You don't want to work with people who are attracted by the get rich quick mentality, who think success comes without sweat or tears, who are whiney, clingy and negative.

You don't want to be hassling friends and family to join your business, or cold calls leads who are rude and skeptical. You want people who will work hard to achieve their dreams, be independent, active problem solvers, entrepreneurs, people ok with learning from failure, taking some educated risk.
So the first nut to crack is to do marketing that brings the second group of people into your funnel - the ones looking for an honest, serious, professional business opportunity, the potential entrepreneurs, the people who are attracted not by money but by what that money allows them to do - achieve their lifestyle dreams.

2. Your marketing system
When you attract the right kinds of leads, they need to enter into a system - a marketing funnel - that does most of the follow up for you - sifting and sorting your leads so you only spend your time following up with the most serious action takers. What a different experience you have talking to people on the phone when they WANT you to phone you, when they are WAITING for your call, when they RESPECT your time and expertise and are EAGER for you to help and guide them.
When I started in my internet business, I was doing SO many different things, trying this, buying that, just lunging after each new method and hoping I'd get lucky with one or two things. This is never going to work - you need consistent action, week after week on some core marketing methods. But importantly, you need to know how to combine these methods to boost your results, making the right linkages between everything you do in your marketing.

One of the things that was important to me when I went looking for an internet business model was that the product had to be something that was of value to people, that had a high value in the market place generally. It wasn't enough just to get the money rolling in, I wanted to be helping people as well as helping myself.

Having gone with a renowned nutrition company with my initial network marketing company, I was really enjoying working with weight loss products helping people to lose weight and feel great about themselves. I could see the impact on people's lives. Great! The problem is however, that my customers were only spending a few dollars here and there. And the amount of support they required was huge.

So arguably I was successful, since I had sales coming in and was earning money, but importantly, I didn't have the time freedom I was after. Here's why...
The idea is that you then build a team of people and teach them to make sales and earn residual income from their efforts. But the leverage never really paid off, since again the time taken to get these new team members up and running and doing consistent sales was also huge. So I really worked hard for those commissions.

As a strategy, you need to be working with products that are unique and have a high value in the market place. Weight loss products are not unique. Your company may be the top in its field, but if the product is not unique, you'll have so much competition, you have to work 100s of times harder to attract people and convince them of your products' worth. The products we work with are unique, they have a very high value and therefore you earn very big commissions and residual bonuses.
Who wants to slog their guts out selling toy planes to whiney kids when you can market high end super jets to executive type professionals, so to speak. Why sell a pot of powder over and over to thousands working flat out when you can earn equivalent income on one product commission and take the rest of the day off.

What is incredible to know is that the entry investment for some of these companies is no bigger than it is to join any other MLM company, yet the pay outs are far more substantial. This, I learned, is the ONLY way you get BOTH financial freedom AND time freedom.

4. Mentors and coaches
A mentor is another really crucial component to being successful online. You have to resonate with a sponsor, maybe even be inspired by them, as well as to learn from them - they are your guiding star. A good mentor will not do the work for you - they don't provide crutches.
